Summer Projects

Summer is almost done, and soon I will go back to work. I'm glad I have some time to get ready for my fall craft fairs. Here are some projects that I've done.

I LOVE how this card came out. The stamp is from Impress Stamps here in Washington.

The Cougars are from Washington State University. These are 3x3 cards with envelopes.

If I have WSU, I definitely have to have cards from the University of Washington, home of the Huskies. Otherwise I'll get in trouble with my customers!

I'm a HUGE coffee drinker, so I need to have some cards with coffee cups. These are perfect!

Finally, I have these gift card boxes. Right now I am working on Christmas ones.

Well, gotta go. I have couple more weeks before I go back to work. Enjoy the rest of the summer, everyone!

Spring Craft Fair

Hello everyone! I know, I know...it's been a while, but I'm here. I just finished my first spring craft fair and I would like to share some projects that I did.

I have a lot of succulents at home, and so I decided to package and sell them. I made a basket for each one and decorated each one differently. Gina K Designs has a great, detailed tutorial on how to make these.

I also made these purses which are bigger that the ones I had in previous posts. This uses an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. I found the measurements in Silvey's Craftroom.

I've had these light bulb containers for a while and when I saw this stamp from My Favorite Things, I had a "light bulb" moment (ha!) and decided to put them together. This is the result.

I've seen these key fobs before (I actually use one) and they are so easy to make. All the materials are available at Etsy, and all I had to do was to put them together. They are a best seller! Of course, I have to use ribbons from two of my favourite things...the Seahawks and Starbucks!

Finally, I LOVE these popsicle greeting cards. They take a bit more work than the other items, but I think it's worth it!

Hope you like these projects!!!

More Craft Fair Projects

I finished three craft fairs this season and I must say it was a lot of fun! I enjoyed talking to the customers and sharing my projects with them. I'm almost out of inventory, so this is a good excuse for me to start creating again. Well, after I clean out my craft room. It looks like a tornado went through there!

Anyway, here are some projects that are new this year.

I am OBSESSED with making tags this season, ever since I got this tag die from Papertrey Ink.

Of course, I have to make these post-it note holders...notice the middle one with the rubber duckie? It reminds me of one of my favorite songs sung by Ernie from Sesame Street!

More post-it note holders...I love using stickers and stamps with quotes.

This is a project I saw online...cute and easy to make.

Looking forward to making more fun projects in the new year!!!

I'm still here...really!

Maintaining a blog, I realize, is pretty challenging especially when there are a thousand and one other things going on. I have been working on different projects ever since the summer but for some reason I haven't uploaded them. Now that craft fair season is here again, I have been trying my best to get stuff ready. Here are some projects that I will be selling this year...

Post-it note holders are always a big seller.

I have these tissue holders...I enjoy using different fabrics for this project.

Notebooks with inspirational quotes made especially for teachers.

I'll be back  with some other projects that I am working on... Have a good week ahead everyone!!!

Craft Fair Fun!

I had three craft fairs this holiday season and I must say that things went very well. People loved my creations, and I feel so proud and happy. It is just so refreshing to not talk about Math for a change (that's what I teach), and to listen to people telling me that my products are beautiful. Overall it was a lot of fun! I am definitely looking forward to doing more craft fairs next year.

Here is a picture of my table...

I also had my very first custom order from a customer. One lady came to my table and asked me if I would make a cake (made of paper) for her birthday on December 12. It is a very rare date (12-12-12) and she is turning 56, which means that she was born in 1956. I agree that those numbers are pretty rare and special so she definitely should celebrate. She wanted a holiday theme, however, so this is what I came up with...

It is a paper cake with 12 slices (of course!!!), decorated with a holiday theme. I found this cute candy cane stamp at Michaels and decided to stamp the covers with it.

Here's a picture of one of the slices. Love glitter paper so I covered the bottom part of the cake slice with green glitter paper, plus added a ribbon accent around the lid.

Love this part - I took some christmas ribbon and made it in to a little flower, then added a glitter button on top.

Aside from the cake she also ordered some clothespin magnets (12 of them...see the ongoing theme here?) to put inside the cake boxes.

Here's a closer look...

I am so happy she loved all of them!

This is an advertisement for my blog readers....if you guys want to order a cake like this just e-mail me a krmcrafts@gmail.com. I make these cakes for different occasions and they're $40 each. Just give me about two weeks to make one for you. The clothespin magnets are $1 each and again, I can make them according to your specifications.

Okay, gotta go to make more craft items...it's never too early to start, right? I have so many ideas in my head!

Take care, everyone!!!

Craft Fair Items

I am getting ready for three craft fairs this coming November, so I am crafting like crazy. I am trying to get stuff done as fast as I can, but my job, which includes checking tons of papers, is getting in the way. Hahaha!!

Love these popsicle cards!. I saw a video on Youtube that shows how to make them. I sell them in packs of five.

I love these 3x3 cards. The colors are so vibrant, and they go well together with the flower stickers from Michael's. I simply emboss the background with a Cuttlebug embossing folder to give it some texture.

Okay, got to go to make more stuff!!!
